What Is Estate Planning?
Estate planning is about more than just “who gets what.” It’s your opportunity to decide how your home, assets, and personal wishes will be handled—during your life and after. Your estate plan makes sure your property goes to the right people, appoints trusted people to handle decisions if you can’t, and minimizes family stress, confusion, court delays, and the need for complicated, expensive probate processes - most often in one office visit.

How We Help With Wills & Estate Planning
You’ll work directly with Mark—no call centers, no runaround. Reach out for a no-pressure conversation and get clear, compassionate answers—so you can protect your wishes and your loved ones.
Simple Wills
A simple will is the easiest way to make sure your property goes where you want after you’re gone. It lets you name who gets your assets, choose someone you trust to handle things, and help your loved ones avoid confusion or disputes. Even if your estate is straightforward, having a will brings clarity and peace of mind.
Powers of Attorney (Healthcare & Financial)
A power of attorney lets you appoint a trusted person to handle important matters if you can’t. A healthcare power of attorney allows someone to make medical decisions for you, while a financial power of attorney covers things like paying bills or managing accounts. These documents ensure your wishes are respected, even if you’re unable to speak for yourself.
Living Wills / Advance Directives
A living will (also called an advance directive) spells out your wishes for medical treatment if you become seriously ill and can’t communicate. It tells doctors and your loved ones what kind of care you want—or don’t want—so there’s no uncertainty during difficult times.
Transfer-on-Death Deeds (for Homes or Land)
A transfer-on-death deed is a simple tool that lets you pass your home or land directly to someone you choose, without the need for probate court. It’s easy to set up and helps your loved ones receive property quickly and with less hassle after you’re gone.
Guidance on Beneficiary Designations
Some accounts and assets—like life insurance, retirement plans, or bank accounts—let you name a “beneficiary” to receive the funds directly. Mark Kelly helps you review and update these designations so they match your wishes and work smoothly with your overall estate plan.
Estate Administration
If you’ve been named the Executor of an estate, or a close family member has passed without a will, Mark can guide you through the steps to gather the deceased’s assets, to determine which bills to pay and when, and to distribute what’s left over to the proper persons as the deceased wished or law requires. This may not even involve a court case for some small estates.
